Who We Are

We’re third generation road transport carriers, passionate and committed to this industry that for so many years has been the lifeblood of Queensland and Australia. It’s safe to say that transport is in our blood.

In pursuing excellence, it is important to us to understand and communicate with our clients and to provide a service equal or better than their expectations.

Commitment is the key to our success and G&D Partners is a dedicated and committed service provider.

When we work for our clients, G&D Partners becomes an extension to their team. We represent their business and treat it with the same respect we treat our own brand, and take responsibility for maintaining presentation, professionalism and performance in their name.

G&D Partners originated in Brisbane in 1997 between two good mates, Gordon Wyton and Desmond Sinclair.

The company has been solely owned and operated with a hands’ on approach by Gordon since 2006 with the support of family members and staff.

Gordon’s journey into the road transport industry started as a youngster when his father Doug Wyton relocated their family to Muttaburra in Central Western Queensland from Toowoomba to take over the business “Somerset Transport Company”.

Having been behind the wheel of old English Lorries to the modern equipment of today it’s fair to say Gordon’s seen a few changes in his career. He’s literally grown up with the road transport industry and learned the old-fashioned way by doing the hard yards.

Gordon’s extensive knowledge, customer relationships and experience has been honed by the hardships, his times as the bush mechanic, financial challenges and his time on the road without the modern day luxuries of present times. He has covered just about every aspect of the road transport hauling game from mail runs, stock, wool, bitumen, fuel, tippers, general, heavy haulage, wharf, b-doubles and road trains.

The family heritage and industry commitment is still very much in evidence today, as Gordon is assisted in the business by wife Brenda and the next generation, sons Troy & Michael.
